Sorry, this isn’t part of your job description.
So Fabio, what are we doing today?
Today we’ll show you how we made our DNA wash.
So loads of chemicals and water and all that crap.
Not necessarily.
Silvia, from the Sustainability department, and Alberto from Laundry, will show you how they made this kind of washes.
Okay, that sounds exciting. What’s next?
Every single pair of denim starts from this.
It’s a bit crunchy.
Yeah, it’s raw denim.
Okay, let's go!
Laser Action Machine
What is this?
This is a Laser Action machine.
Cool!
It can pretty much create any style or final effect without the need for water, chemicals, or manual work from an operator.
Wow! Love, love, love.
But if I'm honest, they’re still not quite my color.
Ozone Machine
No worries. We're not done yet.
This is an Ozone machine.
It uses ozone gas to break down the indigo dye, giving that bleached effect on the denim.
No water and less chemicals.
Look, these are cute — but I still think they're missing something.
Nebulization Machine
That’s right! We're missing one more step.
What’s going on here?
This is a nebulization machine.
Oh! Weird name. What’s that?
It uses misting nozzles.
That allows us to reduce water and chemicals by more than 50% compared to a conventional wash.
Stunning!
